Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta
Lady Gaga
She wants to make people think.
She knows that the majority of people are satisfied to indulge in that immediate sensuous, delicious richness.
But those that she truly needs recognition from to succeed at what she knows she needs to do, are those that are only satisfied by feeling, learning, growing. Those that search deeper for meaning, that yearn to understand more, know more.
She has the ability to seduce the senses and challenge perceptions of that most subjective concept of "normal".
But does what she does affect the soul in a lasting positive way?
(I wouldn't know, I don't listen to her music).

not eating again soon
Genetic engineering has invaded my home, all the tomatoes are very angry (just look at them!) and the other groceries are becoming uncomfortably tense (hormones!). Since I can't afford to buy organic & free-range and I havn't got any food growing in the garden... yet... I shall be having a very hungry next few months.

The Cake League recently helped out our mysterious friend, Mika, with lots of crosses and prototypes of some geometrics. The original photopictures can be looked at here.

crazy enough to think
Source: lifeonsundays.com via Miss Bergie on Pinterest
“Here’s to the Crazy Ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world – are the ones who do.”

walking home from work
walking home from work
cars speeding past,
warehouse bulk shoppers
residents of ultra-normal/ultra-weird suburbia.
i picked these flowers on the side of the road,
living things that have survived the townhouses, shopping complexes and thoroughfare
of commercialism - the next worst thing after industrialization.
this was once a valley of flora and fauna
(at witching hour the guinea fowl come out like ghosts of a lost time)
it breaks my heart that those with the money are the same one's who have the least respect for this world,
and yet bash their fists against sacred books to justify their horrendous actions.
it breaks my heart that more and more i associate religion with hypocrisy.
